Public Programs

In addition to tours, workshops, and trainings for public, teachers and students through high school, Marsh Botanical Garden actively engages the wider community through outreach led by affiliated professors, staff, and students. These programs invite the public to participate in learning and discovery. These initiatives share interactive workshops, guided tours, and hands-on training.

Yale Nature Walk

Yale Nature Walk

The Yale Nature Walk is an ongoing project created in course E&EB 223L: Evolution, Functional Traits, and the Tree of Life, in collaboration with Academic Technologists at the Center for Teaching and Learning. Students contribute to a collaborative map by documenting campus trees through facts, photos, videos, artwork, and more. Explore the growing collection of trees here.

Tour of Collections

Our tours take you through the Garden’s living collections and gardens from desert and tropical plants to carnivorous species, wild meadows, and native landscapes. Along the way, you’ll learn about the science, history, and design and care of these plants, with time for questions and exploration. Tours are tailored for groups of all ages and interests, offering a fun and engaging way to experience the Garden.
