What We Offer
Class Labs
We host class-related labs at the Garden that complement lectures with hands-on plant exploration. From dissecting flowers under microscopes to tasting tropical fruits that highlight plant family diversity, these experiences make plant science tangible, memorable, and engaging.
Informal Classes
Beyond university courses, the Garden supports a variety of informal learning opportunities. These include small group programs for incoming students, nature immersion walks, explorations of tree and lichen diversity, and thematic sessions on tropical plants or flowering plants. Such programs foster curiosity and allow participants to explore plants in new and creative ways.
Guided Tours
Our staff leads engaging tours of the collections and gardens for students, staff, and the public. These tours highlight everything from the Garden’s history and sustainable garden to the plant diversity, providing both inspiration and education in an accessible format.
Self-Guided Tours
Visitors are welcome to explore the Garden at their own pace. With tools like our ArcGIS plant mapping app (insert), signage, and thoughtfully designed landscapes, self-guided visits provide a flexible way to discover the richness of the collections while connecting personally with nature.
